Play iconic D&D monsters in chaotic card game Dungeon Mayhem: Monster Madness

Chaotic all-for-one Dungeons & Dragons card game Dungeon Mayhem is getting a frightful new iteration titled Dungeon Mayhem: Monster Madness.

A game that uses simple card mechanics in the vein of titles like Love Letter and Fluxx, in Dungeon Mayhem players take on the role of four iconic heroes comprising a barbarian, wizard, rogue and paladin. All use their unique ability deck to be the last one standing.

However, the latest version Monster Madness introduces a whole new player class: monsters.

Among the new beastly characters are included seductive, long-lashed beholder Delilah Deathray, snooty red dragon Lord Cinderpuff and adorable gelatinous cube Blorp. An owlbear, a mimic and a besuited mind flayer also make appearances in the new deck.

The latest characters have a range of unique abilities, and can “charm, crush, disintegrate, or devour their foes”, according to D&D publisher Wizards of the Coast.

While Dungeon Mayhem played with up to four people, Monster Madness expands the player count to six.

In addition, this new deck is compatible with all preceding ones. Previous titles within the series include the original Dungeon Mayhem and its expansion Battle for Baldur’s Gate.

Dungeon Mayhem: Monster Madness will be coming out February 14th 2020, and will cost $24.99 (£19).
